Castrol Molub-AlloyTM 240 elevated temperature grease is manufactured from the highest quality components which were individually selected for their compatibility with Molub-Alloy lubricating solids and for their intended high temperature applications.

Special formulation, including select synthetic fluids, assures operation with minimum carbonization or residue formation in high ambient heat.

Castrol Molub-Alloy lubricating solids of suitable grade are treated to increase their natural positive affinity to metal surfaces and are thoroughly dispersed to assure effectiveness during the lubricant’s full working life.

Molub-Alloy 240 has a consistency between NLGI Grade No. 1 and NLGI Grade No. 2.

Advantages
Reduced friction, most evident under boundary conditions, is directly attributed to the presence of a proprietary blend of lubricating solids. This benefit in most pronounced where frequent start-up, slowly speeds, and high and unexpected loads are encountered.

Substantial increase in the working like of both parts and lubricant is provided by a protective layer of Castrol Molub-Alloy solids. This can result in an increased load bearing area which reduces unit pressure, operating temperatures, and wear. Non-carbonizing characteristics reduce carbon residue and tendency to form varnish-like deposits as high temperatures are encountered.

Realistic energy savings are possible through a reduction in peak power demand during cold start-up.

Overall savings are derived from the above and result from less labor and downtime, smoother, more efficient operation with longer parts life, and extended lubrication cycles.
Applications:
Molub-Alloy 240 is used as a general purpose greases in plain, journal, and antifriction bearings at ambient temperatures higher than adequately served by petroleum containing lubricants.

Molub-Alloy 240 is most commonly used in sealed bearings of overhead conveyors for tunnel ovens or other high temperature service.

This grease may be applied by any standard dispensing method.
