Castrol Molub-Alloy 659 Brick Grease is manufactured from the highest quality components carefully selected for their compatibility with Castrol Molub-Alloy lubricating solids and their recommended applications. Metallic lubricating solids of suitable grade are treated to increase their natural positive affinity for metal surfaces and are completely dispersed to assure effectiveness during the lubricant's full working life.
A physical characteristic of Molub-Alloy 659 Brick Grease is that it is of a stiffer consistency than an NLGI Grade No. 6.
Advantages:
Reduced friction, most evident under boundary conditions, is directly attributed to the presence of specially compounded lubricating solids. This benefit is most pronounced where frequent start-up, slow speeds and high unexpected loads are encountered.
The establishment of a protective layer of Castrol Molub-Alloy solids provides substantial increase in the working life of both parts and lubricant. This will result in an increased load bearing area that reduces unit pressures, operating temperatures and wear.
Realistic energy savings are possible through a reduction in peak power demand during cold start-up.
Glazing is minimized with the use of Castrol Molub-Alloy 659 Brick Grease, therefore providing uninterrupted lubrication.
Overall savings are derived from the above and result from less labor and downtime, smoother, more efficient operation with longer parts life, and extended lubrication cycles.
Applications: Typical applications are trunnions and open bushings designed to be lubricated by Brick or Block grease.
Molub-Alloy 659 Brick Grease is designed for applications from 30°F to 350°F and is the preferred grease for extremely wet applications.
