UNIREX EP greases are premium quality mineral oil based products. The combination of advanced lithium complex soap technology and leading edge polymer enrichment technology, produce greases which have excellent adhesion and water wash-out resistance, mechanical stability and improved high temperature performance. Even after prolonged churning with water UNIREX EP greases retain their consistency, adhesive and rust inhibiting properties. Despite the addition of the polymer, the greases are still fluid enough at low temperatures to be dispensed without problems. UNIREX EP greases give good protection against rusting and metal corrosion and also provide excellent extreme pressure resistance and protection against wear, even under severe shock loading conditions. UNIREX EP grades are excellent multipurpose greases for heavy-duty service in many industrial and automotive applications.
UNIREX EP greases are particularly useful where there may be water contamination, for example, in plain and anti-friction bearings found in industrial and automotive applications. UNIREX EP 0 and EP 1 can be easily dispensed through grease guns or through centralised lubrication systems, even at temperatures as low as -15°C. A molybdenum disulphide-containing version of this grease, UNIREX EP 1 Moly, provides additional wear protection in high load and shock load applications. UNIREX EP 2 is recommended for use in hand packed or grease gun applications, or in non-critical centralised systems, as well as grid-type flexible couplings, and is particularly suitable for use in vehicle wheel bearings. UNIREX LOTEMP EP grease is suitable for use in very cold climates, where UNIREX EP 1 or EP 2 would be very difficult to pump. It is made with a low viscosity base fluid that gives the grease excellent low temperature properties. This grease can be used at temperatures as low as -50°C.
