Many years of research and field testing support the performance of Shell GadusRail S3 and S1 Curve Rail greases. These products are dispensed by rail lubricators located at critical points along the railway tracks to ensure excellent lubrication and reduce wheel wear. Two grades are available; S3 and S1.

Shell GadusRail S1 Curve Rail has built-in all-season performance - it has been proven in extreme temperatures of -40 to +40°C. The graphite/moly additives found in Shell GadusRail S1 Curve Rail ensure reduced rail/wheel wear and maintenance free lubrication.
Shell GadusRail S3 Curve Rail contains an effective graphite EP additive and is recommended for steep grade high curvature applications where unsurpassed carrying-ability and maximum wear control is desired. With its exceptionally high melting point, Shell GadusRail S3 Curve Rail provides outstanding retention under very high wheel temperatures.
